Coming from Dallas, Texas, many are familiar and have had the pleasure of seeing Community Corey work his magic on the West Side for over 10 years. Graduating with a Bachelors in Political Science and Masters in Social Justice from Concordia University, Corey has accrued deep relationships with key organizations in economically divested areas such as Austin and Garfield Park. Corey shares his personal story as a black man who redirected his life dream to play professional football after a traumatic family experience with gun violence.

From running as one of the youngest candidates for 29th Ward Alderman to mentoring youth in literacy to promoting his art business as a vending partner at Navy Pier’s Local Soul Kiosk, Corey uses his voice to invest, shape, and inform a better Chicago.
