For creatives looking to build community and deepen their artistic practice, this workshop series encourages communal reflection and group collaboration. In partnership with the multidisciplinary artists of Cooperation Racine, participants will consider a central question: “How might a creative community inform, support, and nourish one’s art practice.” The newly expanded Douglass Park Creative Space offers a range of equipment and tools. This series will highlight papermaking, linocut, sewing, screen printing, and book binding. Each week, everyone is encouraged to bring their hopes, hesitations, frustrations, and curiosities into the studio; these ongoing conversations will shape the trajectory of the series.
This is the start of a regular series of programming that will happen Thursdys, 5-8 p.m. until Dec. 11. For those 18 years and older.
