SUMMARY:Flood Recovery Action Plan Public Hearing
DESCRIPTION:On Jan. 9\, President Biden and the US Department of Housing and Development (HUD) announced an award of $426 million to the City of Chicago to support the ongoing recovery from the 2023 and 2024 floods. To release the money\, the City of Chicago must have two community meetings on the West Side\, with positive community feedback to draw down the funds. \nThe City has drafted an action plan submitted to the Federal government that outlines how the City will utilize the funding allocation across a wide range of projects\, with the planned kickoff of funded programs beginning after HUD approval.
