SUMMARY:Beginning Beekeeping Class
DESCRIPTION:Spend the day with the Garfield Park Conservatory’s Head Beekeeper\, Marcin Matelski\, to learn the basics of beekeeping: equipment\, hive design and construction\, bee biology and behavior\, bee management\, and bee products. This comprehensive lecture-based class is a prerequisite for joining the GPCA volunteer beekeeper program. These classes tend to fill up quickly\, so be sure to register early. Pre-registration is required. \nCost: $70 general admission / $56 GPCA members & volunteers. \n*Member discount applied at check out with member login.
