SUMMARY:No Trump\, No Troops: Community Know Your Rights Training
DESCRIPTION:Equity and Transformation (EAT)\, Black Voter Project\, and a coalition of more than 40 Black-led community and legal groups have come together to oppose Trump’s mobilization of military forces in Chicago and\, instead\, call for real community and economic investment as the best path toward true safety. \nThe coalition has been hosting Know Your Rights trainings since August and will be hosting the next one on Saturday\, October 11\, 2025 at 10:00 AM. \nThis community-wide training is open to all Chicagoans who want to better understand their rights and the legal resources available if Trump escalates his threats. Trainers will lead the program\, covering: \n\nYour rights when interacting with police\, federal agents\, or military presence.\nRisks to be aware of and how to respond safely in different scenarios.\nA high-level political education overview on how Trump’s agenda and the billionaire class are harming our communities.\nHow to support your neighbors and strengthen our collective resilience.\n\nBy coming together\, we prepare ourselves and one another to stay safe\, protect our communities\, and stand strong in the face of these threats.
