DESCRIPTION:Join CTA & CDOT for a public meeting to share input on potential designs to make streets work better for buses. Registration not required. \nThe Bus Priority Corridor Study is exploring ways to make bus travel faster\, more convenient\, and more comfortable for riders on five corridors. \nThe study is a major next step in implementing the Better Streets for Buses Plan—a framework developed by CTA and CDOT to enhance the bus riding experience through infrastructure improvements to streets\, sidewalks\, and signals. \nThe study will focus on five major corridors from the Better Streets for Buses Plan. These corridors serve thousands of daily riders and connect neighborhoods across the city: \n\nPulaski Road (from Peterson to 87th)\nWestern Avenue (from Howard to 79th)\nCottage Grove Avenue (from 35th to 115th)\nFullerton Avenue (from Grand / Nordica to Halsted)\n55th Street / Garfield Boulevard (from Cicero to South Hyde Park)\n\nThis meeting will include information about all five corridors. \nAccommodations: \n\nLive Spanish language interpretation will be available during this meeting.\nLive American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation and Communication Access Realtime (CART) captioning will be available during this meeting.\nIf you need additional accessibility accommodations\, please reach out to betterstreetsforbuses@transitchicago.com or call 1-888-YOUR-CTA at least one week before the meeting.\n\nVisit the Bus Priority Corridor Study project webpage for more information.
