During this workshop, we will focus on the preparation required to conduct oral histories. Walk walk through recording setup, developing questions, and the basics needed to get you started. This workshop is the first in a two-part series.

    Join Legler Artist-in-Residence, Kenn Cook, Jr., the Black Lunch Table and the Westside Historical Collective for Community-Embedded Oral History facilitated by Georgia Dusk, a southern liberation oral history group co-founded by Ashby Combahee and Dartricia Rollins. Learn the basics of oral histories and how to develop community-embedded oral history projects. Attendees will learn about Georgia Dusk, how to design their own oral history projects, and the methods and practices of conducting interviews. This workshop is the second in a two-part series. Workshop one will take place at Legler Regional Library on May 9th, 2026.
