Beyond Closure Film Screening

Beyond closure, a documentary retracing the history of the largest mass school closures in the U.S. history, will screen at the Kehrein Center for the Arts. The screening is hosted by the Aspire Center for Workforce Innovation. The film features many West Side nonprofit leaders such as Westside Health Authority CEO Morris Reed.
Through the voices of community members leading the repurposing of Emmet, Woods, and Overton schools, this film reflects on community impact, their setbacks and wins towards redevelopment.
